Pastor Anwar Ottley currently serves as the Pastor of Worship at the Takoma Park Seventh-day Adventist Church located in Takoma Park, Maryland. He also serves as the Director of Choral Activities at Washington Adventist University (WAU) where he leads the Columbia Collegiate Chorale and the ProMusica. He is an active composer and arranger published by GIA Publications and his arrangements have been performed in churches and venues across the country including, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Washington National Cathedral.

Pastor Ottley holds a Bachelor of Music in organ from WAU and a Master of Music in choral conducting with a secondary emphasis in theory and composition from Andrews University. He has also served as a rehearsal conductor and section leader of the Washington Master Chorale. While he is an accomplished musician, he has a deep passion for worship leadership. At Takoma Park Church, Pastor Ottley organizes and oversees the worship services, the music department staff, the three church choirs, and other worship-related ministries. He has conducted clinics, festivals, and workshops for both choral music and worship.

Pastor Ottley is currently completing coursework towards a Doctor of Worship Studies degree at Liberty University. While he enjoys choral music, it is his desire to teach the next generation of worship leaders… successful and biblical practices to guide their congregations into a lifestyle of worship. He and his wife, Sharlene, and newborn son Jude currently reside in the Washington DC Area.
