BIOGRAPHY
Marlon is a devoted and passionate follower of Jesus Christ. For over 21 years, he has traveled across the Midwest, the South, and abroad, preaching the gospel and sharing the love of Jesus.
He is a proud graduate of Oakwood University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Ministerial Theology, followed by a Master of Divinity from Andrews University Theological Seminary. Marlon began his pastoral ministry in his home conference, Lake Region, as the Assistant Pastor of Hyde Park Church in Chicago in 2003. Over the years, he has led 10 churches across Central and Northwest Indiana, Chicago, including Straford Memorial SDA Church, and later Hillcrest SDA Church in Nashville, TN.
Marlon is blessed to be married to the love of his life, Valerie, for 18 wonderful years. She is his radiant “sunshine,” bringing incredible love and joy to his life. Together, they are the proud parents of three strong and caring sons: Luke, Landon , and Logan . Pastor Reid cherishes holidays with his family, enjoys reading, traveling, and playing golf.
Pastor Reid sees his primary ministry as a pastor-teacher, dedicated to helping his congregation grow to full maturity in Christ Jesus. He is committed to making disciples as Christ commanded, leading others into a deep and intimate relationship with Him.
